In the early 80’s, Furness Trinidad formed a joint venture company with Diversey Corporation of Canada to form Diversey Corporation Eastern Caribbean Limited.

This company manufactured industrial cleaning chemicals in Trinidad and exported mainly to the Eastern Caribbean Islands.

Furness eventually acquired it 100% and changed its name to Furness Chemicals Limited expanding its lines to include household cleaning chemicals.

To this day, Furness Chemicals still produces “Kleen Off – All-Purpose Cleaner”, which has become very well known internationally
